Senior Consultant – Quality Engineering
Job Summary
The Senior Consultant – Quality Engineering designs and delivers scalable, secure, and maintainable quality engineering solutions that drive measurable business outcomes. This includes supporting test strategy definition; establishing traceability, defect management, and reporting; developing test plans; and implementing automation where it adds the most value. This role is hands-on, technical, and client-facing—partnering with stakeholders to lead QE delivery for a workstream, facilitate technical discussions, mentor peers, and align execution to the overall QE strategy and governance set for the engagement.
Job Highlights:
- Our technology focus is on Azure – you’ll have plenty of exciting opportunities to grow your skills in Microsoft and Azure in an environment committed to technical excellence and client experience in a very specific, defined space.
- Microsoft Partnerships – Our great global relationship with Microsoft ensures that we have a pipeline of cutting-edge Azure work opportunities, and access to the teams that have built the platform. You won’t find this at other places.
- Great working environment and company culture with flexible work location.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead or support discovery and requirements analysis to translate business goals into testable acceptance criteria, QE scope, and an executable test approach.
- Implement the end-to-end QE strategy and quality architecture for a workstream across functional and non-functional needs (e.g., reliability, performance, security, data quality); contribute to governance/standards and documentation and escalate gaps/risks with recommended improvements.
- Design, build, and maintain scalable automation solutions (UI/API/data as applicable), selecting appropriate tools and frameworks and ensuring maintainability and reusability.
- Integrate testing into CI/CD and delivery workflows to improve release confidence (e.g., automation in pipelines, quality gates, environments, and test data strategy).
- Execute and guide testing (automation-first with targeted manual testing when needed), ensuring coverage, traceability, and actionable defect management and triage.
- Own workstream-level QE planning and execution management, including estimation, sequencing, dependencies, and day-to-day coordination with product/engineering to meet delivery milestones.
- Establish and run a workstream quality cadence (dashboards/status, defect triage, root-cause themes), ensuring risks and release readiness are visible early and decisions are data-informed.
- Communicate quality status, risks, and tradeoffs to client and internal stakeholders; recommend course-corrections to scope, plan, or approach based on data and outcomes.
- Mentor and coach engineers/consultants through pairing, feedback, and day-to-day technical leadership; model strong engineering practices and help the team adopt consistent QE ways of working.
- Contribute to QE practice development by sharing patterns, improving accelerators, and promoting a quality-first culture across engagements.
