WHAT YOU’LL DO
Reporting to the Vice President of Communications, the APAC Communications Manager will lead regional communications strategy and execution across Asia-Pacific, driving awareness, thought leadership, and brand affinity for Braze.
You’ll work closely with the global communications and regional marketing teams to ensure that Braze’s story is told with local relevance, cultural fluency, and global consistency, amplifying how Braze helps brands forge powerful connections with our customers.
This role is ideal for a proactive, creative communicator with a deep understanding of the APAC media landscape, strong storytelling instincts, and a passion for elevating global brands across diverse markets.
Responsibilities
Regional Media Relations & Brand Awareness
- Develop and execute an integrated communications strategy across key APAC markets to drive awareness of Braze’s leadership in AI, customer engagement and marketing technology.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with top-tier media, analysts, and influencers across business, tech, and trade outlets in markets such as Singapore, Australia, South Korea and Southeast Asia. Collaborate closely with the communications lead in Japan.
- Localize and pitch global narratives for APAC audiences, ensuring messaging resonates within the region’s diverse cultural, language, and business contexts.
- Partner with global communications and local PR agency teams to drive consistent, impactful storytelling and regional amplification of global initiatives.
Thought Leadership & Executive Visibility
- Identify opportunities for Braze executives and regional leaders to engage in speaking engagements, media interviews, and industry panels.
- Support development of talking points, bylines, op-eds, and contributed content that position Braze as a thought leader in customer engagement, personalization, and data-driven marketing.
- Collaborate with global teams to craft narratives that highlight Braze’s innovation, culture, and impact across APAC.
Product & Customer Storytelling
- Partner with product marketing and customer marketing to surface compelling customer success stories and case studies from the region.
- Support product announcements and launches with localized messaging, media outreach, and content tailored for the APAC audience.
- Ensure alignment of product communications with Braze’s broader brand positioning and strategic goals.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with regional marketing, content, and events teams to align earned and owned strategies, maximizing impact across campaigns and channels.
- Partner with social media and content teams to drive regional engagement on organic channels, ensuring alignment with global brand tone and messaging.
- Provide strategic counsel and on-the-ground insights to global leadership on regional trends, opportunities, and potential issues.
Measurement & Optimization
- Track, analyze, and report on communications outcomes across media coverage, engagement, and brand perception.
- Use insights to continuously refine messaging and regional strategy for greater impact.
WHO YOU ARE
- 5-7 years of experience in corporate or product communications, public relations, or media strategy — ideally within the B2B technology or SaaS space.
- Deep understanding of the APAC media and business landscape with existing media relationships in key markets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to diverse audiences and markets.
- Strong storytelling instincts and ability to translate complex technology into clear, compelling narratives.
- Experience managing PR agencies and working cross-functionally with global teams.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, balancing strategic planning with tactical execution.
- Self-starter with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and cultural fluency across APAC markets.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience at a public company or late-stage, high-growth startup.
- Familiarity with marketing technology, customer engagement, or AI-driven SaaS platforms.
