THE POSITION
Our roster has an opening with your name on it

FanDuel is seeking a Senior Manager, HR Business Partner to join our HRBP team. This role will partner with leaders across functions to deliver people strategies that drive business performance, strengthen organizational effectiveness, and support teams through change. FanDuel is a fast-moving business, and change will be constant. We are looking for someone who thrives in that environment — someone who can bring clarity to complexity, help leaders make better decisions, and operate as a proactive advisor rather than a reactive HR partner.

The client group for this role may evolve, so the ideal candidate will have experience supporting different types of functions and leadership styles. Success will require solid business judgment, organizational effectiveness expertise, change management capability, and the confidence to influence and partner effectively with leaders.

In addition to the specific responsibilities outlined above, employees may be required to perform other such duties as assigned by the Company. This ensures operational flexibility and allows the Company to meet evolving business needs.

THE GAME PLAN
Everyone on our team has a part to play

  • Own HR partnership for an assigned client group, building strong relationships with leaders and understanding their strategic priorities.
  • Support leaders with talent planning, performance management, organizational structure decisions, and capability building for their teams.
  • Lead and manage organizational change initiatives within your client group, ensuring clear communication, leader alignment, and successful adoption.
  • Diagnose people issues, work through root causes with leaders, and develop practical, business-informed solutions.
  • Measure the impact of people strategies and recommendations; use data and insights to improve decision-making and outcomes.
  • Provide coaching and feedback to leaders on talent development, leadership effectiveness, and creating high-performing teams.
  • Partner across the People Team (Talent Acquisition, People Operations, Total Rewards, Legal, Employee Relations, Analytics) to deliver integrated people solutions for your client group.
  • Execute core HRBP work with excellence — talent planning, performance management, employee relations, and organizational change.
  • Develop and improve how you deliver HRBP partnership by identifying process improvements, strengthening skills, and building better tools and approaches.

What Director-Level Partnership Means:

A Senior Manager-level HRBP at FanDuel brings deep HR expertise and the ability to provide thoughtful, data-informed guidance to leaders navigating business challenges.

In practice, this means you can:

  • Understand your client group’s business — their goals, priorities, constraints — and use that context to make better people recommendations.
  • Listen carefully to leaders’ needs and ask clarifying questions before recommending solutions.
  • Think through people decisions with a business lens, balancing organizational needs with individual and team impact.
  • Own the quality and timeliness of your work — you deliver what you commit to with minimal oversight.
  • Build credibility through consistent, sound judgment and follow-through over time.
  • Collaborate effectively across functions and levels to solve problems and implement solutions.
  • Stay current on HR best practices and bring strong functional expertise to your partnership.

What Success Looks Like

  • Leaders see you as someone who understands their business and delivers practical, valuable HR guidance.
  • You identify people and organizational challenges before they escalate, and you proactively bring solutions to leaders.
  • Your client group experiences smoother organizational changes, stronger talent management, and more effective performance conversations because of your support.
  • You execute core HRBP responsibilities on time and with high quality.
  • You build deep partnerships with leaders through consistent delivery and sound judgment.
  • You contribute ideas and improvements to strengthen how the HRBP team operates.

THE STATS
What we're looking for in our next teammate

  • Minimum of 3-4 years of HR Business Partner experience, including direct partnership with leaders.
  • Minimum of 6-7 years of professional experience
  • Experience operating in fast-paced, complex business environments.
  • Demonstrated experience in organizational change, talent management, and performance management.
  • Strong ability to diagnose people issues and recommend business-informed solutions.
  • Experience building and maintaining strong relationships with leaders at multiple levels.
  • Track record of leading projects and managing multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Comfort with data and metrics; ability to measure and communicate impact.
  • Strong HR functional expertise across talent planning, performance management, employee relations, organizational structure, engagement, and culture.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional partners to deliver integrated HR solutions.
