PagerDuty is growing, and we are looking for an experienced Salesforce Developer to help design and implement a world-class, global network. As a Salesforce Developer, you will help design, build, and support PagerDuty's growing enterprise application environment – ensuring availability, reliability, and security for our users and critical business data.

About This Role

Together with the other members of the enterprise applications team, you will have the opportunity to re-define how PagerDuty designs, builds, and maintains a growing suite of applications around the world.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain complex Apex classes, triggers, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce pages, Flows and other declarative configuration to support business requirements and system integrations.
  • Build robust integrations between Salesforce and other enterprise systems including Zuora, CPQ, Marketo, and DocuSign using REST/SOAP APIs and middleware solutions.
  • Leverage AI tools, including Claude Code and Claude Cowork, to drastically reduce manual configuration friction, automate multi-step administrative tasks, accelerate development velocity, and contribute to the company's AI-native goals.
  • Design and implement Agentforce-based solutions to automate business processes, such as intelligent case triaging and deflection, and enhance internal agent capabilities with contextual AI assistance.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following Salesforce development best practices and design patterns.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Management and business stakeholders to proactively define, refine, and translate high-level business goals and product requirements into precise, scalable technical designs.
  • Implement automated test coverage and deployment strategies using modern DevOps practices.
  • Mentor junior developers and contribute to code reviews and technical documentation.
  • Work closely with Finance, Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Product Management on inter-related projects and initiatives.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Salesforce development experience in a high-growth technology company
  • Strong proficiency in Apex programming, Lightning Web Components, Visualforce, and SOQL/SOSL
  • Experience leveraging Generative AI tools (e.g., Claude Code, GPT models) for code research, writing, testing, and accelerating the development lifecycle.
  • Strong technical knowledge and experience with Salesforce.com declarative development including Flow
  • Experience with Salesforce APIs, integration patterns, and middleware solutions
  • Proven track record of building complex customizations and integrations in Salesforce
  • Salesforce Platform Developer I Certification strongly preferred
  • Experience with Salesforce CPQ or Revenue Cloud development preferred
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce governor limits and optimization techniques
  • Proficiency in version control systems (Git) and modern DevOps practices
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
  • Self-starter with ability to deliver projects on-time in a fast-paced environment
